TO COMPARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CERVICAL CYTOLOGICAL FINDINGS ACCORDING TO ETIOLOGY IN INFERTILE WOMEN

Abstract

Background- Infertility affects 15 percent couples of reproductive age. Of these, 40 to 50 percent is associated with female causes of infertility.

Methods - The hospital based prospective study was conducted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, SMS Medical College, Jaipur from January 2017 to Dec. 2018.

Results – The association between cause of infertility and Liquid based Pap smear finding in patients was found statically insignificants.(p-value>0.05)

Conclusion- We observed that infertile patients, especially those with tubal factor infertility, may benefit from cervical cytological screening as they show a higher tendency for cervical cytological abnormalities.
